CANADA! While attending my sister's wedding in Canada, white trooper dropped by at Vancouver's Victoria Islands. One of the highlights at the Vancouver Island is the acclaimed spectacular Butchant Gardens. The gardens is an expanded version of Singapore's Botantic Gardens. "Botantic Gardens on Steroids" is what whitetrooper would like to call it.

The Butchart Gardens, some 21km from Victoria, covers more than 55 acres of a 130 acre estate. The garden begun as a hobby by Mr and Mrs Robert Pim Butchart in an effort to beautify a worked-out quarry site. (SO ROMANTIC! ROMANTIC ALERT!). It is divded into Sunken Garden, filled with ivy and Virginia creeper, Rose Garden, filled with beds of rose, Japanese Garden, filled with rare Himalayan Blue Poppy and a japanese landscape,Star Pond, a fountain in the centre, and an Italian Garden, once a Butcharts' tennis court in 1926 and some restaurants with convenient photo windows.

Enjoy the pictures of this amazing paradise on earth. It sure reminds me of the heaven in Robin Williams's "What Dreams May Come". Whitetrooper will always have a soft spot for flowers and he would like to dedicate these flowers to a friend for those days she was not with him during his Canada trip. Don't worry "96", these flowers will never die as long as they are on the web.
